What Do I Need to Do to Prepare for the Test?
It is not necessary to fast or adjust your diet or lifestyle in any way prior to testing. The food sensitivity test consists of exposing your blood sample to foods in order to identify elevated food and antigen-specific lgA, IgG, and IgG4 antibodies. We also do not recommend discontinuing any medication without contacting your physician first.
What do the Results Mean?
The food sensitivity testing helps you discover which foods in your diet may be a source of symptoms. This test measures your immune system’s reactivity to foods, which can help guide a temporary elimination diet. This test does not test for food allergies, as the IgE antibody mediates food allergies.Food Sensitivity AgentWhat do I Need to do to Prepare for the Test? Results (Testing for IgA, IgG, IgG4)- (Performed using ELISA)Dairy:Casein, Cheddar Cheese, Cow’s Milk, Goat’s Milk, WheyJust a simple finger stick, to collect a few drops of whole blood, is enough to identify elevated food and antigen-specific lgA, IgG, and IgG4 antibodies.- VERY LOW (0)
